PETS CAN ALSO BE TREATED WITH HERBS!

Medicine plant (Barbados Aloe)

The effectiveness of medicinal plants in treating pets is still underestimated by many owners of cats and dogs. Part of the reason for this phenomenon is the massive advertising of chemicals and the habit of believing in the omnipotence of traditional medicine instilled in us from childhood.

Undoubtedly, organic chemistry has achieved impressive success in the synthesis of chemical compounds with given pharmacological properties. These drugs have a narrow focus of action, easy to dose and take. However the main disadvantage of such drugs was their alienation to animal organism, causing a number of side effects, often reducing to zero the positive effect of drugs. Another problem with chemical drugs is the malfunctions and dysfunctions that they cause in the functioning of healthy organs of the animal. Such negative effects are especially characteristic of antitumor and antiviral drugs, as well as drugs for treatment of skin and kidney diseases.

On the other hand, we all tend to exaggerate the protective properties of vaccination and vaccination, although scientists themselves are not so optimistic in this regard. As a result of vaccination, infectious diseases in cats and dogs often occur in a hidden form, causing chronic dysfunction.

This is not the case with herbal medicines, most of which are similar in nature to animals. They are easily digestible and easily incorporated into biochemical processes. Even with prolonged use, they very rarely lead to the development of adverse reactions. Phytotherapy significantly expands the possibilities for treatment of the cause of the animal disease, rather than its symptoms through the natural mobilization of biological mechanisms of self-protection of the body.

Selection of an effective synthetic drug requires experimental testing of thousands of different substances, while any medicinal plant immediately after application shows a number of valuable pharmacological properties with virtually no toxicity.

Effective treatment of cat and dog diseases requires a sensible combination of synthetic drugs and more natural herbal remedies. Many medicinal plants have strong detoxifying and antidote properties, which makes it possible to reduce the negative effects of drugs, side effects and drug diseases.

Phytotherapy is not a human monopoly, because sick animals in their natural habitat without our help instinctively find the right medicinal plants. We can even say that it is more characteristic of animals, because their connection with nature is more natural and harmonious. By domestication, we deprive animals of this vital link, condemning them to harmful foods and treatment with toxic synthetic agents. This is why many pedigree dogs and cats today suffer from the same diseases as their owners (allergies, tumors).

Over the past decades, cat and dog diseases have changed considerably, both in terms of structure and severity. The priority in this list belongs to chronic diseases of the digestive organs, skin and excretion system. These diseases largely corresponds to the spectrum of therapeutic effects of the most common phyto preparation.

Let's consider in detail the herbal remedies used in animal phytotherapy, pre-sorting them by type of therapeutic effect.

Herbs with good calming effect include: cuff, valerian root (except cats!), hops, dill and oregano.

As we can see, the same medicinal herbs are used to treat animal diseases as for humans.

However, those who are going to make their own phytotherapy preparations for dogs and cats should remember that they should only be prepared on the basis of aquatic extracts and not finely ground plant parts. There are no enzymes in the gastrointestinal tract of dogs and cats that can extract therapeutic substances from an untreated plant mixture and activate them. What does this mean? It's better to make the infusion stronger, but to prepare it you need to take the coarsely chopped raw materials. For a glass of boiling water, you'll need a tablespoon with a slide of raw materials. Insist for at least an hour. And be sure to strain well through several layers of gauze. Usually herbal infusions are added to drinking water or from a pipette (or syringe without a needle) in a clean form shortly before feeding. Exceptions are bitterness (wormwood), which can be mixed with the food and given as a wormy eggplant.

Indicative dosage of extracts of phytopreparation for treatment of dogs:

At weight to 9 kg - 3 tsp. (15 ml),

from 9 to 23 kg - 4 h. l. (20 ml),

from 20 to 30kg - 5 hours. l. (25 ml),

at a weight exceeding 36 kg 6 h. (30 ml).

In chronic diseases, phytotherapy for dogs should continue in the same dose for 8-12 weeks.

Cats have their own dose of herbal extracts. For example, in the treatment of diseases of the stomach and intestines, a therapeutic dose of the appropriate herbal infusion should be 10 ml (2 tsp.) and preventive - 5 ml (1 tsp.) Infusion is given 3-4 times a day for 30 minutes before feeding.

Dogs who have undergone a course of chemotherapy in the treatment of pyroplasmosis are in urgent need of quality vitamin and phytotherapeutic support. A dog's body must recover from a double blow: infections and subsequent use of medications that deal a crushing blow to the liver. Unfortunately, many dog owners have nothing better to offer than hepabena from veterinarians. Although there is a whole list of medicinal herbs that can and should be connected in order to help your dog recover as quickly as possible. These include St. John's wort, birch buds, Echinacea flowers, pickled grass, locust flowers, pine buds, clover and willow flowers, rosehip fruit, yarrow and licorice root.

Another fairly common problem in pets is neoplasms.

Treatment of tumors should be based on the main principle: no amateur activity in the choice of herbs. If you are not sure of your knowledge, treat your animals with a ready-made commercial phytopreparation "Cytostat", although there is nothing top secret about it.

This plant complex is included: mint, St. John's wort, birch leaf, licorice, barberry, pickled bark, buddha, cow, calendula, taulga, immortelle, dried, shepherd's bag (aged one year before), Ivan tea, comfrey, bruise, oregano, echinacea, burdock, celandine, nettle, frostbite, turnip, lemon balm, horsetail, clover, chaga. The most important active components of this preparation should be mentioned separately. You can use them separately, if you can not recreate such a complex collection.

Nettle has a pronounced therapeutic activity in relation to the mammary gland. Chaga has a cytostatic antifungal action, including in relation to breast cancer. Oregano is useful for benign neoplasms, in particular, mastopathy. Drying performs drainage and cleansing functions in relation to the skin. The horsetail, birch leaf, immortelle and burdock help the body to cleanse of toxins formed by the destruction of tumour cells.

Although phytotherapy is a virtually non-alternative approach to keeping dogs and cats healthy, it's not always possible to focus on herbs.

In case of exacerbation of the course of diseases it is necessary to resort to the use of strong medications that allow to stop the development of the pathological process as soon as possible. In the next phase of treatment, it is possible and necessary to connect the above mentioned phytotherapy drugs to restore the body. The duration of such a course should not be less than one month.

The opposite situation is possible, when the use of phytotherapies has not yielded the expected results. In this case, in order not to miss precious time, it will be necessary to resort to medication therapy.

Before starting a course of phytotherapy for a dog or cat, carefully read all available thematic information about the use and the nature of the selected medicinal herb or collection. Dog herbs, phytotherapy for cat diseases and vice versa are not always acceptable.

Even a useful berry such as blueberries requires the right application. For example, the infusion of dried berries is effective for dogs with diarrhoea and fresh blueberries are shown to be effective for constipation.

Cats cannot tolerate the essential oils of citrus fruit, but abscesses, scabies and ear ulcers are well cured by the essential oils of lavender, chamomile and tea tree.

Speaking about the treatment of tumour and skin diseases in animals with external remedies, it should be noted that compared to taking herbal infusions inside, the use of ointments based on medicinal plants in the dosage is not so critical. After all, animal skin is coarser than human skin, so any ointment, even based on poisonous herbs, use the usual way. Good results in the fight against tumors, fibroadenoma of milk glands, mastopathy in cats and dogs have been obtained with the use of hemlock ointment with silver ions, flax, macular, tui. In case of herpes, fungal lesions, itchy skin successfully used the treatment of infusion make-up heart-shaped with subsequent treatment of ointments of purebred and black nut.
