The Havanese is a small, vigorous, low-legged, pleasure and companion dog with a lively and supple appearance that is characterized by its great sociability. Its coat consists of long, abundant hair. A particularly strong and durable breed, it adapts perfectly to any environment.

How to take care of your Havanese?
The Havanese is more of an indoor dog. He fears the cold and humidity from which he must be protected. As for maintenance, despite its abundant coat, this dog does not require any special care except brushing once a day to maintain the shine of its coat. He doesn't lose much hair.
It is not a dog that needs a lot of physical exercises. Nevertheless, for his well-being, the Havanese must be walked every day. He is the happiest of dogs from the moment he is close to his masters.
It is preferable to give the Havanese Bichon quality food with high energy content, in order to reduce the portions compared to so-called "grocery" croquettes. Dog treats are possible, ut should be given sparingly.
A Havanese Bichon puppy eats between three and four times a day, then you can switch to two meals a day from the age of 6 months.
However, it is advisable to remove the bowl after a meal in order to limit temptations and better manage its consumption.
The Havanese bichon can live in an apartment, it adapts easily to this life provided that it can walk every day. He loves family life, he is very attached to his master. He is easy to train, and is exceptionally alert, as an alarm dog he barks well. He is a kind player, charming and even a bit of a buffoon, he loves children and plays endlessly with them.
